Online Marketing Overview

Online Marketing – Paid Search, Google Display Ads, Facebook Ads

online advertisingThe Internet has dramatically changed the way we advertise today.

While TV and radio remain strong, online advertising has all but replaced print advertising, including the Yellow Pages.

Online advertising takes many forms.  The most popular channels – Google and Facebook – are highly targeted, affordable and measurable.

Paid Search

When prospects actively searched for particular products and services, they used to go to the Yellow Pages.  Not any longer.  Now they go to the search engines – usually Google but also to Bing, Yahoo and other search engines.

For that reason, we all want to be on the first page of Google if we can.  Ideally, we would like to appear in the organic (free) listings, but that’s a more challenging path.  You’re much more likely to get to the top of Google through paid search.

We can help you with paid search campaigns on both Google (Adwords) and Bing.

We will help you with your campaigns, ad groups, keywords, bids, ad creation and your landing pages.

Paid search campaign are pay per click campaigns meaning you only pay when someone clicks on your ad.

Google Display Ads

Most people think of Google for its paid search platform, but Google also provides non-search display advertising on millions of websites around the globe.

These ads perform more like traditional ads in that they are placed on targeted websites or placed in front of people with specific profiles.  These profiles are based both demographics and online behavior (browser activity).

One major advantage to display ads (over search ads) is cost.  Click costs for display are substantially less.

Google ads come in 14 different ad sizes.

Facebook Ads

Facebook has become a recent powerhouse for online advertising.  Because it has access to extensive activity on its own platform, Facebook’s targeting capability is broad and deep.

Targeting combines demographics, interests and behaviors of Facebook users.

Facebook places ads on the pages of the targeted Facebook users.  Ads can appear in the feed as a sponsored post or in the sidebar.
